The session will include education on the basic concepts of EDI, and we will work through principles and best practices of equity and inclusion, and how these can be applied in the lab and research environment. Additionally, we will also address the upcoming EDI requirements for academic positions and research grants (e.g. NSERC, CIHR, SSHRC). If you are applying for any upcoming academic positions or research grants, we will have opportunities for Q&A after the presentation to discuss these.
Sponsored by the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS) and the Postdoctoral Association at Western.
PAW photo competition
Date: January 10, 2021
In these times where we don't get to see each other much, or celebrate our successes in person, PAW has decided to launch a Photo competition. This way, we can all see you and celebrate with you safely! We are going to do a round for each season. As we have just left fall behind, we are launching the first competition with the theme "Fall 2020".
Please submit your entries to the PAW email (paw@uwo.ca) by December 10th 2020, and we will open all entries for public voting January 11th - 17th, with the winners announced towards the end of January.
You can submit in one of the following categories
1. Postdoc life in 2020
2. Fall Still-life and Sceneries
Prizes for each category will be gift cards, valued at 50$ for the winner, and 25$ for the runner up.
Please note that we will upload the winners and runner ups on our social media pages, so by submitting an entry, you agree for the photo to be featured on Facebook, Twitter and our website. We look forward to seeing your stunning images!
